This consortium was officially formed in 2023 after receiving funds from the SC Legislature. Prior to its structural recognition, the program directors and staff of these programs have had ongoing communication and self-initiated collaborative efforts to enhance awareness, access, and opportunity for student success as they transition to college environments.
The SCIPSEC is led by each program’s director. The team partners with community organizations and agencies to maximize access to resources that will foster the success of its students in the areas of independent living, employment, and self-efficacy.
